Free Classes
Although we have free education system in Sri Lanka some children do not get equal opportunities due to the standard of schools, availability of facilities and lower income of their families. We at Ti-Ratana have organized free tuition classes for important subjects like Mathematics, Science, Sinhala, English, ICT, History, Art and Traditional Dancing to fulfil their needs. We have some qualified teachers to keep our teaching standards high. We have satisfactorily done it planning to continue our good service on a wide scale.
The Ti Ratana Community Centre, since its inception participated in comprehensive programs of academic tutoring such as Computer Awareness, Art, Science, English, Dancing, Mathematics, Environment, Meditation Programs and Distribution of dry rations and necessary items for children and pregnant ladies that promotes the physical, educational and life skills necessary to prepare and empower underserved community sector for leadership in their communities and success in their personal lives. It wasn’t too many years ago that the Ti Ratana Community Centre earned its reputation as one of the many Community Centers in Sri Lanka by providing solutions to the problems faced by underserved community sectors similar to mostly urban, minority neighbourhoods.
