In attaining the vision of Ti-Rathana Community Centre, it intends to create equal opportunities for children in low income groups, to become educated, healthy, and socially responsible citizens of the country, and to ensure well being amongst the, Senior Citizens/ Elders, who have been neglected or become helpless, whilst making awareness amongst specially children, how to lead a happy and contended life by adhering to teaching of Lord Buddha.Find Out More
The Ti Ratana Community Centre, since its inception is participated in a comprehensive programs of academic tutoring such as Computer Awareness, Art, Science, English, Dancing, Mathematics, Environment, Meditation Programs and Distribution of dry rations and necessary items for children and pregnant ladies that promotes the physical, educational and life skills necessary to prepare and empower underserved community sector for leadership in their communities and success in their personal lives. It wasn’t too many years ago that the Ti Ratana Community Centre earned its reputation as one of the many of the Community Centers in Sri Lanka by providing solutions to the problems faced by underserved community sector similar mostly urban, minority neighborhoods.
Ti Ratana Community Center offers following vocational training courses for students
Day Meditation Program is composed of short daily lessons, organized over 3 days. Each with its own unique themes,goals, and insights. The program is self-paced, and techniques are presented in a way that both secular and spiritually minded people can get connected. No particular belief or worldview is required for following the lessons.
Each day opens with an inspiring quote , followed with a daily lesson, and finally further resources are provided to deepen one’s knowledge and clear any doubts.
Ti Ratana Community Centre in Sri Lanka, conducts guided meditation classes, mainly for layman, who interested in practicing Buddhist meditation in a peaceful environment.
